A pair of popular European destinations were placed on the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s highest travel warning list, the latest European countries to be added to the advisory. The agency is warning Americans to “avoid” traveling to Germany and Denmark amid rising coronavirus cases in the two countries. The CDC, which updates the list each week, classified both countries as “Level 4” destinations, indicating a “very high” level of COVID-19 transmission there....

Crystal Cruises will require all guests to be fully vaccinated before boarding a future cruise, the company announced on Thursday, becoming the latest cruise line to mandate the jab. “We are encouraged by the progress being made with the COVID-19 vaccines and what this means for our Crystal Family and the travel industry as a whole as we eagerly look forward to exploring the world again,” Crystal’s interim president and CEO, Jack Anderson, said in a statement....

Delta Air Lines extended all travel vouchers another year and made it easier for customers who book a new flight to rebook tickets, offering travelers more flexibility in uncertain times. On Wednesday the airline extended its eCredits, allowing passengers to rebook a flight through Dec. 31, 2023, and fly throughout 2024. The carrier will also allow anyone who purchases any new ticket in 2022 to rebook that ticket through the end of 2023 and travel in 2024....

Disney World and Disneyland on Friday will both reinstate an indoor mask mandate following the Centers for Disease Control’s latest guidance. Starting July 30, the Florida and California theme parks will require all guests ages 2 and older wear face masks indoors, including on indoor rides, regardless of their vaccination status. Masks will also be required while riding Disney buses and shuttles, the monorail, and the Disney Skyliner. Masks must have at least two layers, fully covering a person’s nose, mouth, and under the chin....

More than 10 years ago, Glacier National Park put up signs warning that its stunning icy glaciers would be gone by 2020. Archaeologists discovered a tower of more than 100 human skulls buried beneath the center of Mexico City. The structure, called Huei Tzompantli, was originally discovered by Mexico’s National Institute of Anthropology and History (INAH) in 2015. But after a return to the site earlier this year, the team discovered a tower of 119 skulls, previously hidden, CNN reported Monday. The tower is believed to have been part of a skull rack, one of seven collections that stood in the old Aztec capital Tenochtitlan....
