It just got harder for Mexican airlines to launch new flights to the U.S. The U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has downgraded Mexico’s flight safety rating to a Category 2 from a Category 1 — a change that will impact codesharing agreements and prohibit Mexican carriers from debuting new flights to the U.S. Mexican carriers will be allowed to continue existing service to the U.S., but the FAA said that it “will increase its scrutiny of Mexican airline flights....

Reaching the Most Magical Place on Earth is about to get a little easier, thanks to a new deal signed between Walt Disney World Resort and passenger rail operator Brightline. On Monday, Nov. 23, Brightline announced that it had reached an agreement with Walt Disney World Resort to open a new train station at Disney Springs, an area located just outside the Disney parks and filled with restaurants and shops. Though Disney Springs isn’t located inside any of the four theme parks that make up Disney World, the parks can be easily accessed from the area using the resort’s transportation network....

Virgin Australia is banning pets with flat faces from flying due to fears about breathing problems and overheating, joining U.S. airlines in doing so. The move comes after a spate of recent deaths of snub-nosed dogs on fellow Australian carrier Qantas, which resulted in the airline issuing a temporary ban while it reviews its policies. The airline announced on Friday that they ceased accepting bookings for animals considered “brachycephalic breeds,” like Bulldogs, Chow Chows, Pugs, and Shih Tzu, as well as several cat breeds like the American Burmese and Persian cat, and rabbits like the Lion Head or Lop....

The border between the U.S. and Canada has been shut down for months, with no end in sight, due to the rampant spread of the coronavirus. However, that apparently isn’t stopping a few Canadian snowbirds from flying south for the winter. “[The] United States and Canada have a mutual agreement to restrict non-essential travel across our shared border. The current agreement runs through January 21, 2020,” the U.S. Embassy and Consulates in Canada explains on its website....

If it seems like everyone you know was at Yellowstone National Park this summer, it’s probably because many of them were. Yellowstone saw a record 921,844 visitors in August, according to the National Park Service (NPS). That brings the total tally of visitors in 2021 to above 3.5 million, putting this year on track to be the park’s busiest since 2016.
