An airport in Iowa will begin a preflight COVID-19 health screening program for all passengers and staff next week after it got the OK from the Federal Aviation Administration, a unique undertaking among U.S. airports. The Travel Well program, which will start on Jan. 25 and be run out of The Eastern Iowa Airport (CID) in Cedar Rapids, will require all outbound passengers and employees who work past the security checkpoint to answer a series of health questions and have their temperature taken....

JetBlue is eliminating overhead bin carry-on baggage allowance for its Blue Basic fares starting this summer, the company announced Tuesday. The new policy, which applies to flights booked on or after Feb. 25 for travel starting July 20, will limit passengers on a Blue Basic fare to one personal item that fits under the seat in front of them. There are some exceptions to the new rule, including for unaccompanied minors and active military....

Airbnb is on the hunt for someone willing to take a year-long break from their normal life and live rent-free in an Italian designer home instead. In January, the home-sharing giant announced its plan to find a person to live in a thoughtfully restored, three-story Italian heritage home in Sambuca, Sicily. “With a newfound flexibility to live and work remotely, one person will be given the opportunity to relocate to Sicily with their family, partner, or friend and move into this uniquely restored house,” reps for Airbnb announced in a statement....

America’s Black Holocaust Museum will reopen to the public on Feb. 25, 2022, more than a decade after it was forced to give up its space. New York’s entertainment venues will be able to welcome back fans beginning on April 2, with new capacity rules, in the state’s latest reopening announcement. Indoor arts and entertainment venues will be permitted to reopen at 33% capacity and up to 100 people, Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced in a press conference on Wednesday. Outdoor venues will be able to accommodate up to 200 people. If all attendees present a negative COVID-19 test, venues will be able to accept up to 150 people indoors and 500 people outside....

This weekend, in celebration of St. Patrick’s Day, Niagara Falls will be putting on its version of a “Kiss me I’m Irish” t-shirt. On Sunday, March 17, the famous waterfall will turn green as part of its partnership with Tourism Ireland’s “Global Greening” campaign.
