President Bill Clinton did exactly that on his 1997 visit to the U.K. He also turned down an offer for dinner at the British prime minister’s official country house. Delta Air Lines’ hubs will now feature new antimicrobial bins at TSA checkpoints in a further effort to assure passengers amid the COVID-19 pandemic. The initiative will roll out in automated screening lanes at select hubs in Atlanta, Minneapolis/St. Paul, Los Angeles, and both New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport and LaGuardia Airport, Delta announced. The bins, made of antimicrobial material, “prevent the growth of a broad spectrum of bacteria,” the airline explained....

The Arctic’s oldest and thickest ice is melting twice as fast as other ice in the Arctic Ocean, according to a new study by the American Geophysical Union. The study, published in the group’s journal Geophysical Research Letters, discovered the ice in the ocean north of Greenland (which researchers thought would be the last place to lose year-round ice cover) was more mobile than they previously thought and that the ice there is “declining twice as fast as ice in the rest of the Arctic,” according to the AGU....

There’s one house in Los Angeles that probably has more ties to Hollywood history than any other. And it just went up for sale. According to Forbes, the iconic Owlwood Estate, nestled between Beverly Hills and Bel Air in Los Angeles, is officially on the market for $115 million. Princess Diana’s former apartment is gaining some very special recognition this year. In early April, English Heritage, a charitable organization that looks after more than 400 historic buildings, monuments, and sites, announced it will be adding one of its famous blue plaques to the one-time home of Princess Diana. As royal fans, and fans of The Crown, know, prior to becoming a royal, the then Diana Spencer shared a flat at Coleherne Court with several girlfriends including Carolyn Bartholomew, Virginia Pitman, and Ann Bolton....

Passengers booking by June 10 will find one-way fares as low as $49 each way for travel between August 17 and November 5. The Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History is calling on people to send in artifacts related to the deadly pro-Trump riots at the Capitol Building in an attempt to document the infamous moment in American history. The request is part of a larger effort to document the unique 2020 election. “The Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History has an ongoing and deep commitment to document all aspects of the American political experiment: a government by the people,” the museum wrote in its plea following the riots....
