Windstar Cruises is ready for you to hop on board and sail off into the sunset with them for 79 days straight. In August, the cruise company announced the sale of its new 79-day Grand European Bucket List Adventure, marking the longest itinerary ever offered by the small ship cruise line. The sailing departs Stockholm, Sweden on July 25, 2023, and takes guests through the Baltic, Northern Atlantic, Mediterranean, and the Black Sea, on their way to 22 different countries including Denmark, Germany, France, Italy, Greece, Poland, and more....

United Airlines is incorporating purple into its new look — from the new uniforms that all 70,000 frontline employees will soon be sporting to new fabrics on its seating. The new uniforms were developed in partnerships with Tracy Reese, Brooks Brothers, and Carhartt. Much of the new design is developed around the airline’s new color scheme. The central color is “Rhapsody Blue,” which anyone who has seen the United logo will recognize....

Three European cities will be in even closer reach this summer. United Airlines announced today that it will be launching a trio of new nonstop routes: Newark Liberty International Airport to Dubrovnik, Croatia; Chicago O’Hare International Airport to Reykjavik, Iceland; and Washington Dulles International Airport to Athens, Greece. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention added 10 more destinations to its highest travel advisory this week, including popular Central American and Caribbean spots like Belize and Saint Kitts and Nevis. The agency, which updates its travel advisories on a weekly basis, warned Americans against traveling to these destinations due to “very high” levels of COVID-19. The State Department, which mirrors its travel advisories to the CDC, also raised each destination to its highest warning level, telling Americans “do not travel” there....

Hawaii is starting to look a little bit more like its pre-pandemic self. Visitors can now enjoy Hawaii’s beaches, hiking trails, and majestic outdoor vistas mask-free, regardless of their vaccination status. The state lifted its outdoor mask mandate on Tuesday and has paved the way for its world-famous surfing competitions to restart in June. Multi-team sports, including baseball and soccer, have also been cleared to resume on June 1. “The success of our vaccine program and the cooperation of our residents across the state, have brought us to this point,” Hawaii Governor David Ige said in making the announcement....

While the travel industry is certainly rebounding from its lowest point during the pandemic, there’s no doubt that travel is very, very different now than it was during pre-COVID times. The number of passengers flying daily in the United States is growing, but we’re still only seeing about 40% of total traffic as compared to 2019, per the Transportation Security Administration (TSA). And beyond that, airlines still are operating with reduced schedules....

There are a lot of factors that go into a day of airplane travel. And a lack of overhead bin space is increasingly becoming one of them. If you arrive at your assigned seat and the nearby bins are already full, you may end up stashing your carry-on a few rows back.
