Ride share company Lyft is expanding bike share access by offering young people free one-year memberships through the YMCA — and a little star power. Louis Vuitton is going through a metamorphosis in Japan. In March, the luxury brand announced the arrival of the flagship Louis Vuitton Ginza Namiki store in Tokyo’s Ginza district, featuring interior design by Peter Marino and a facade by Jun Aoki. The newly revamped building, which Louis Vuitton has occupied since 1981, is meant to represent “a pillar of water” and “the shimmering fluidity of water ripples.” “Comprised of two layers of glass, Jun Aoki’s facade is at once monolithic and imbued with fluidity – his representation of a ‘pillar of water,’” the brand shared in a statement....

Shanghai Disneyland welcomed visitors back on May 11 with the expected excitement, but far fewer visitors. “It really felt like a princess’s homecoming, especially when the staff lined up after the ticket check and said, ‘Welcome home!’,” a visitor told The Associated Press on opening day. “It feels like so many fewer people than normal. United Airlines just made a major change to its basic economy fares, allowing customers to cancel them for the first time, the airline shared with Travel + Leisure. The new policy, which went into effect on Wednesday, allows travelers who book a basic economy ticket to either upgrade to a standard economy ticket or cancel it for a fee.
