The Federal Aviation Administration extended its zero-tolerance policy for unruly passengers this week after airlines reported more than 500 disruptive incidents since late December. FAA Administrator Steve Dickson said in a statement on Tuesday that the decision was made to continue to crack down on unruly passengers as the “number of cases we’re seeing is still far too high, and it tells us urgent action continues to be required.” Under the strict policy, which was first introduced in January and previously set to expire at the end of March, any passenger who “assaults, threatens, intimidates, or interferes with airline crew members” could face a fine as well as jail time....

The Hudson River Park Trust is set to begin construction on the beach this spring as part of its larger Gansevoort Peninsula project in the Meatpacking District, Gothamist reports. In an effort to prevent the spread of coronavirus, Israel instituted a 14-day self-quarantine rule for anyone arriving into the country. The new policy went into effect immediately for Israeli citizens and will go into effect on Thursday for foreign nationals, according to the BBC. The decision will last for two weeks, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in an address posted to Twitter on Monday. “After a day of complex discussions, we made a decision: everyone who comes to Israel from abroad will enter the 14-day isolation,” Netanyahu said in a statement on Twitter....

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and State Department is warning Americans not to travel to the United Kingdom, designating the UK as “Level 4,” its highest warning level, just as the country began to loosen COVID-19 restrictions. The streets of New York City will once again fill with 50,000 runners racing through the five boroughs in the fall of 2022. United Airlines will fly to five brand-new destinations next year in its largest-ever transatlantic expansion and will be adding new routes that were interrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic, the company shared with Travel + Leisure on Thursday. The airline will now include flights to Amman, Jordan; Bergen, Norway; Azores, Portugal; Palma de Mallorca, Spain; and Tenerife in the Spanish Canary Islands. United will also launch seven routes that were interrupted by the pandemic, including Bangalore, India; Frankfurt, Germany; and Nice, France....

CityWalk at Universal Orlando begins its partial reopening today, after closing in March due to the the COVID-19 pandemic. Select dining and shopping venues at the entertainment complex will open to guests daily from 4 to 10 p.m., with new sanitation measures and safety procedures in place.
