The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention added seven more destinations to its highest “Level 4” COVID-19 travel warning, including European vacation spots like France and Iceland. The advisory warns Americans against traveling to destinations with high levels of COVID-19 and tells them if they must, “make sure you are fully vaccinated before travel.” The agency, which has added many destinations to the list in recent weeks, considers a destination to have a “very high” level of transmission if at least 500 cases are recorded per 100,000 people....

It’s been 100 years since the United States government passed the 19th Amendment granting women the right to vote. Though there are many people to remember for this monumental amendment and movement, there’s one destination people should remember, too. And that destination is the Finger Lakes region in the state of New York. This year, the Finger Lakes region will celebrate and honor its important role as the birthplace of women’s rights with the “100 Ways to Celebrate Women’s Empowerment” list, which is meant to educate visitors on “the past while providing the tools and skills for female empowerment in the future....

The city of Chicago added nine states to its travel advisory list amid a surge of coronavirus cases throughout the country. Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Kansas, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas, and Wyoming were all added to the “orange” list of destinations experiencing at least 15 cases per day, per 100,000 residents, according to the city. They join Arkansas, Missouri, Florida, Louisiana, Nevada, and the U.S. Virgin Islands, which were already on the list....

Chicago’s travel advisory list now consists of every state in America. The city, which has been regularly adding states to its travel advisory for weeks, just added Vermont, meaning that travelers from every state are considered a “high risk.” States become eligible for Chicago’s travel advisory list when they exceed 15 new cases per day, per 100,000 residents. The city has been expanding the list since mid-July when it added states for the first time since June 1....

On March 1, in recognition of Black History Month and Women’s History Month, New York Governor Kathy Hochul announced plans for a new state park that will cover more than 500 acres of former industrial property along the Hudson River shoreline in Ulster County. Legoland Florida Resort in Winter Haven is set to debut the world’s first standalone Peppa Pig amusement park in 2022, Merlin Entertainments announced in a statement on Thursday.
