Travelers to Amsterdam may be able to skip The Netherlands’ quarantine when Delta Air Lines and KLM Royal Dutch Airlines start their COVID-19 testing program on flights to the European city next week. This latest flight testing program, set to start on Dec. 15, will allow passengers on select flights from Atlanta to Amsterdam to participate in multiple tests before and after the flight, according to Delta. If passengers continually test negative, they will be exempt from quarantine upon arrival in the Netherlands....

The recent rage for wine bars reflects a change in the way the French think—and drink. I’ve been visiting Paris since the 1970’s. But on a recent trip, I noted something radically unfamiliar. At Verjus, a new hot spot by the Palais Royal, a roomful of people were sipping Chinon and Chenin Blanc by the glass, not a dinner plate in sight. Wine bars have always seemed the antithesis of how the French experience wine....

When Greece welcomes international tourists back next month, outdoor restaurants and cafes — the kind that defines a perfect Greek vacation — will be open. The easing of restrictions comes after Greece lifted quarantine requirements for visitors from several countries on April 19, including the United States, but lockdown measures remained in place. Next month, tourists who are vaccinated, have tested negative for COVID-19, or who have coronavirus antibodies will be allowed to enter the Mediterranean country....

Private jet charter company EvoJets is now offering a $1,500 credit to clients booking flights to the British Virgin Islands. One-way private jet prices between popular departure points (New York, Miami, Los Angeles, and Chicago) and the British Virgin Islands can range from about $22,000 to $90,000 each way....

Nevada has lifted its statewide indoor mask mandate, making face coverings optional in casinos and other popular Las Vegas hotspots. The new policy, which went into effect on Feb. 10, reversed an earlier decision to require masks on casino floors. “Just like vaccines, masks are still a great tool we have to slow the spread of the virus. I expect going forward to still see Nevadans and visitors occasionally utilizing masks when they are out in public,” the state’s Gov....

Not everyone loves winter, but there’s no denying that all that freezing cold and ice can make for some magical natural phenomena. According to the Tennessean, Minnehaha Falls in Minneapolis, Minnesota, has nearly frozen into an idyllic scene of snow and icicles. And much like Niagara Falls back in January 2019, this smaller waterfall is arguably even more breathtaking when it’s cold. Temperatures in the area reached a frigid 34 degrees Fahrenheit as of December 17, when a video of the frozen waterfall was taken, WTOL reported....

Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings is suing Florida’s surgeon general over the state’s ban on requiring proof of vaccination, the culmination of months of clashing over the concept of vaccine passports. The cruise line — which requires all guests to be fully vaccinated before boarding and will continue to do so through at least Oct. 31 — filed a suit on Tuesday “as a last resort,” accusing Florida of not allowing it to resume cruising “safely and soundly,” according to court documents shared with Travel + Leisure....

Archaeologists in the UK have discovered a giant ring of pits that could unlock some of the mysteries of Stonehenge. Located about two miles away from the monument of Stonehenge is a circle of large holes that measure about 1.2 miles in diameter. It could be one of the largest prehistoric sites ever discovered in the UK, according to The BBC. The “Pits at Durrington” were discovered by a team of archaeologists from universities around the UK using remote sensing technology and sampling....

The Seychelles, an idyllic collection of islands off the coast of East Africa, is following in the footsteps of the Maldives — another beautiful collection of islands off the coast of southern India — to restart its tourism. The destination plans to welcome all international visitors, except those from South Africa, beginning March 25, according to the Department of Tourism. Visitors won’t need to quarantine or be vaccinated, but they will have to test negative for COVID-19 within 72 hours of their departure....

It’s been turbulent skies for some airlines in the United States in recent weeks, plagued by mass cancellations and staffing woes, but Southwest’s incoming CEO says it should be much smoother sailing for the upcoming holidays. “Our bookings for the holidays are basically following the curve that they followed in 2019, which gives us a lot of assurance that there’s demand there,” incoming CEO Robert Jordan said in an interview with Yahoo Finance this week....

Archaeologists now believe they’ve found the origins of Stonehenge after uncovering the remains of an ancient stone circle in Wales, Reuters reports. The European Union this week amended its list of countries allowed to enter the EU, but once again left the U.S. out in the cold. The latest list, released Thursday, removed two countries previously allowed to enter the EU — Montenegro and Serbia — while allowing the other 12 to continue to enter. People from the U.S., are still barred from coming in, according to the European Council. “The criteria to determine the third countries for which the current travel restriction should be lifted cover, in particular, the epidemiological situation and containment measures, including physical distancing, as well as economic and social considerations,” the European Council said in a statement....
