Disney is hitting the high seas once again, resuming sailings to the Bahamas from the United States next month on the Disney Dream. The Disney Cruise Line ship will set sail from Port Canaveral, Fla., starting Aug. 9, heading out on cruises for 3 or 4 nights to Disney’s private island, Castaway Cay, according to the company. On board the ship, face coverings will be required in most indoor public areas, high-touch loose items like sofa pillows have been removed, and physical contact has been limited by use of the company’s app, which can be used to pre-book experiences and chat with guest services....

As the coronavirus pandemic continues, Disney’s theme parks remain closed worldwide — and U.S. parks Disneyland and Walt Disney World will remain closed indefinitely. “While there is still much uncertainty with respect to the impacts of COVID-19, the safety and well-being of our guests and employees remains The Walt Disney Company’s top priority,” the company said in a statement last week. “As a result of this unprecedented pandemic and in line with direction provided by health experts and government officials, Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort will remain closed until further notice....

For the first time in nearly two years, Boeing’s 737 MAX aircraft carried passengers on a commercial flight in the U.S. The American Airlines flight took off on Tuesday from Miami International Airport and landed at New York’s LaGuardia Airport about two and a half hours later, Reuters reported. The wife of the flight captain and the first officer’s mother were both onboard the almost 1,200-mile flight. “This aircraft is ready to go,” American President Robert Isom said at a media briefing in Miami before the flight....
