A small robot on wheels has begun roaming the terminals at Seattle-Tacoma Airport, delivering meals to travelers waiting at their gates. The airport recently introduced “OrderSEA,” a mobile ordering service that links travelers with 16 of the airport’s restaurants to order pick up when they’re crunched for time. The service also includes gate delivery from the OrderSEA robot, named Gita. “Technology can make your airport experience more flexible and less stressful,” Port of Seattle Commissioner Sam Cho said in a statement....

United Airlines has a home once again at New York’s JFK Airport. The airline, which took a five-year hiatus from the airport, will be providing flights to Los Angeles International Airport and San Francisco International Airport five days a week. “United’s return to JFK reflects not only our strong commitment to the New York City area, but also to increasing service to and from the places our customers want to fly,” AVice President of Domestic Network Planning and Scheduling, Ankit Gupta, said in a press release shared with T+L on Monday....

At a time when airlines are doing as much as they can to avoid crowding at the airport, United Airlines is launching virtual, on-demand customer service to prevent passengers from waiting in lines. Currently available at Chicago O’Hare and Houston’s George Bush International Airports, the “Agent on Demand” program works with any mobile device, allowing passengers to call, text or video chat live with a United customer service agent, the airline announced Wednesday....

Viking is bringing back river cruises to Europe in July. The cruise line announced the return of select itineraries in Portugal, France and along the Rhine as part of its “Welcome Back” collection of trips, on Wednesday, for vaccinated passengers. The cruises available are some of Viking’s most popular including an eight-day cruise from Amsterdam to Basel, a 10-day voyage from Lisbon to Porto, and multiple journeys in France ranging from 8 to 15 days....
