In June, both United Airlines and Hawaiian Airlines announced new flights to the Hawaiian islands. United increased service on 11 routes to celebrate its 70th year of flying to Hawaii, while the state’s eponymous airline added three new year-round routes....

Not even a border-closing global pandemic will stop this couple from seeing each other regularly. Every day, Inga Rasmussen, 85, and Karsten Tüchsen Hansen, 89, trek to a red-and-white fence that demarcates the border between Germany and Denmark. Inga brings a chair and sits on the Danish side. Karsten settles onto the German side. They open a packet of biscuits and pour each other cups of coffee. Rasmussen and Hansen met by chance last year, and since March 13, 2019, they have spent every day together, according to DW....

For the very first issue of Vogue Scandinavia, the magazine chose 18-year-old climate activist Greta Thunberg as its cover star. Thunberg was photographed in the forests outside of Stockholm in all sustainable clothing. Her wardrobe was made from certified natural materials or repurposed deadstock from previous collections. Hong Kong Disneyland is kicking off its 15th anniversary celebration this Nov. 21, officially revealing the newly transformed, highly anticipated Castle of Magical Dreams. Formerly Sleeping Beauty Castle, this redesigned attraction will pay tribute to not one, but 14 Disney princesses and queens with designs and decorations reflecting their beloved stories. Hong Kong Disneyland’s first castle was smaller, similar to the classic Disneyland Sleeping Beauty Castle, but this reimagined centerpiece builds upon that design with a one-of-a-kind addition unlike anything we’ve seen at the other Disney theme parks around the world....

New York City will allow indoor dining to resume at the end of September, Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced on Wednesday. Marking its long-awaited return, New Yorkers will be able to dine indoors starting on Sept. 30 at 25 percent capacity. Patrons will have to abide by social distancing measures and have their temperatures taken at the door. Restaurants will also record contact information for at least one person in each party for contact tracing purposes....
