Developers are about to break ground on a new amusement park outside of Columbus, Ohio. Planet Oasis Ohio is investing $2 billion in the park project, the Detroit Free Press reported. It will be built on 350 acres of land in Sunbury, or about four times the current size of Disneyland. “Planet Oasis is located in Ohio because it’s the center of the universe,” the park’s president, David Glimcher, said in a video....

Artist Akon is ready to welcome you to Akon City. The pop singer announced on Twitter on Monday that he “finalized the agreement” for a city named after him in Senegal. Several British airlines plan to continue requiring masks on board even after the United Kingdom lifts face-covering requirements later this month. On July 19, UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson said the country will lift most COVID-19-related restrictions like capacity limits and allow all businesses — including nightclubs — to reopen. Emirates Airlines is resuming select flights to help stranded passengers get home amid the coronavirus pandemic. In an announcement released on Thursday, the airline said they would be reinstating flights to Frankfurt, Jakarta, Johannesburg, Lagos, London Heathrow, Madrid, Manila and Tunis on select days to repatriate visitors. The directive comes after the United Arab Emirates, the government directed a total shutdown of flights, due to the spread of COVID-19, leaving people from outside of UAE no way to get home....

JetBlue is the latest airline to no longer accept emotional support animals onboard flights. In a statement provided to Travel + Leisure on Wednesday, a JetBlue spokesperson confirmed that “as of January 11, 2021, emotional support animals will no longer be recognized as service animals, JetBlue will no longer accept emotional support animals for new bookings for travel after that date.” The change in policy is an effect of a December ruling from the Department of Transportation, which strictly defined the capacity and function of a service animal....
