NASA announced that its Stratospheric Observatory for Infrared Astronomy (SOFIA) confirmed the presence of water on the sunlit surface of the moon for the first time. According to a news release shared by NASA on Monday, SOFIA detected water molecules in one of the moon’s largest craters visible from Earth, called the Clavius Crater. In the past, observations found some form of hydrogen on the moon’s surface, but they could not determine whether it was water or hydroxyl....

The Transportation Security Administration has established its first-ever TSA PreCheck location outside of the United States. Travelers flying from the Lynden Pindling International Airport in Nassau, Bahamas, will now be able to use their TSA PreCheck memberships when they head home to the U.S., according to the agency. “Permanently opening this TSA PreCheck lane for travelers who join the risk-based program is a credit to the Government of The Bahamas and the commitment of the officers who are maintaining the highest standards of transportation security,” TSA Administrator David Pekoske said in a statement...

Unruly passengers on planes could lose access to TSA PreCheck in the Transportation Security Administration’s latest tactic to fight back against an uptick in disruptive incidents in the skies. United Airlines is adding a long-lasting, high-tech, antimicrobial spray to its anti-COVID cabin cleaning measures. The NovaRover will now roll through United airplane cabins and spray a mist of the EPA-registered Zoono Microbe Shield antimicrobial across all surfaces, the airline announced on Wednesday. “This long-lasting, antimicrobial spray adds an extra level of protection on our aircraft to help better protect our employees and customers,” United’s Chief Customer Officer, Toby Enqvist, said in a statement....
