An influencer was detained in Bangkok for 24 hours after traveling with a passport with two pages ripped out from it. Scottish blogger/model Lacey Montgomery landed in Bangkok last week for a conference where she was supposed to spend time with other influencers. However, when she was passing through border control, she was detained because her passport had pages ripped out from it. According to the Scottish Sun, a “liquid spill” from years prior had ruined the pages....

An island filled with puppies is pretty much heaven. Luckily, it’s also a reality. On the island of Providenciales in Turks & Caicos, there are a ton of rescued dogs ready to be played with, walked, and even adopted. Charity Potcake Place has been rescuing adorable Potcake pups since 2005 as they have no shelter on the island and face a number of issues like starvation. Potcakes are a mix of Labrador Retriever, German Shepherd and English Fox Terriers, and grow to about 45-50 pounds....

Move over Kelly Slater, there’s a new surfing great in town. In early January, Southern California was hit with its usual wintertime swell, making every surfer in the region positively giddy. And that included a few of its resident seals, too. During the swell, a few lucky documentary filmmakers captured a pod of seals absolutely tearing up the waves in Santa Barbara. In the video, the seals look like they are having the time of their lives as they jump, dive, and ride down the face of some stellar swell....

Nang Loeng Market is a must-visit in Bangkok — but the immediate sois (that’s Thai for streets) surrounding the market are dotted with unremarkable government buildings, so venture further afield once you’ve had your fill. Many of the city’s first roads were built in this part of the city, known as Old Town, which most locals recognize as real Bangkok. Americans are traveling to mid-size cities more than ever this Christmas, according to data compiled by travel booking app Hopper. Spurred on by lockdowns and travel restrictions, Americans are forgoing big cities like New York City for the holidays and international destinations in favor of “hometown holidays,” according to the study shared with Travel + Leisure. Hopper found Atlanta, Ga., was the most popular domestic destination for Christmas this year, with travel prices down about 36% compared to 2019....

Canon is giving photography buffs a whole new way to capture the world in photos.
