It’s not often that you can visit two countries in one day, but on the 37-square-mile island of St. Maarten/St. Martin, you can travel between France and the Netherlands with ease. St. Maarten, the Dutch side, is home to sprawling resorts and buzzy bars, while St. Martin, the French section, has delicious dining. Plus, the regular ferries sailing to and from the neighboring islands of St. Barts, Anguilla, and Saba make it simple to hop between destinations....

After a recent rise in COVID-19 cases, Jamaica is tightening its testing restrictions for visitors. Starting March 10, anyone arriving in Jamaica will be required to present a negative COVID-19 test, taken within three days of their arrival. Previously, tests were accepted from up to 10 days before. The order applies to all travelers aged 12 or older. Travelers can use Jamaica’s Online Test Calculator to determine when they should take their tests before their trip....

JetBlue is increasing its transatlantic offerings to Ireland with an expanded codeshare partnership with Irish carrier Aer Lingus. The expanded partnership will allow customers more options to connect their travel between the two airlines, JetBlue announced this week. The codeshare flights will be available on four routes: from New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport to Dublin Airport and Shannon Airport, as well as from Boston Logan International Airport to both Dublin and Shannon....

After a long year and a half of canceled plans, one popular New York City event is back and ready for people to make some reservations. NYC & Company announced on Monday that NYC Restaurant Week is returning for the first time since the pandemic began. Nearly 530 restaurants are offering more than 40 distinct cuisines in 75 neighborhoods across the city. Preserved fossil feathers dating back 118 million years were found in Australia, leading experts to think that feathered carnivorous dinosaurs lived in the Land Down Under. National Geographic reported on Monday, that the feathers most likely belonged to small dinosaurs to help insulate them from what was frigid temperatures in the southern polar circle in the early Cretaceous period. The findings will be published in an upcoming study in the journal Gondwana Research....

There’s a spot in the ocean that looks like a portal to another world. The Great Blue Hole, about 43 miles off the mainland of Belize, is a giant sinkhole near the center of Lighthouse Reef. The gigantic circle, about 1,043 feet across and 407 feet deep, was formed after a series of glacial events when the sea levels were much lower than they are today. The site was made famous by Jacques Cousteau, who charted how deep the hole actually was....
