Vegan food is having a moment, and no one knows that better than Grubhub, where the plant-based sausage wrap has see the fastest growth in popularity of all foods in 2021, the delivery company shared with Travel + Leisure. Overall, orders for plant-based food like barbecue cauliflower wings and mushroom and tofu broth ramen have increased by 17% so far this year and interest in vegan burgers increased by 28%, according to the company’s State of the Plate report....

New York City will set up checkpoints to enforce the state’s mandatory quarantine for travelers coming from dozens of states with high rates of COVID-19 infections, the city’s Mayor Bill de Blasio announced on Wednesday. Traveler registration checkpoints will be set up at “major bridge and tunnel crossings into New York City,” according to de Blasio. The Mayor’s Public Engagement Unit will also begin outreach efforts at Penn Station to educate travelers about the quarantine starting Thursday....

It will likely be at least a year before travelers can fly nonstop between the U.S. and Australia on Qantas again. “We’re an airline that can’t really fly to many places — at least for now,” Qantas Group CEO Alan Joyce said in a statement. The 100-year-old Australian airline is facing what Joyce called the “toughest set of conditions” in the company’s history. He described Qantas as being in hibernation, a flying kangaroo whose wings are clipped and planes are locked in long-term storage....

For the fifth consecutive year, Delta’s SkyMiles program has come out on top as the best frequent flier program in the U.S. In a ranking conducted by WalletHub, the program won based on its ranking in 23 different criteria, ranging from the value of each airline mile to policies regarding blackout dates. Each airline was ranked based on its value to three different levels of traveler. WalletHub deemed a light flier someone who would spend roughly $574 per year on air travel, the average flier would spend $3,587 per year and a frequent flier would spend $6,612 on their annual airline travel....

Disney+ is our new streaming addiction. In November, the Mouse House launched the streaming platform, which features everyone’s favorite Disney content, including movies, throwback television classics, and even a few new originals. But, according to a new analysis by Parkdean Resorts, there is one Disney film that reigns supreme when it comes to streaming numbers. “With the world staying indoors, people are amping up their streaming by turning to content like Netflix and Disney+ as a welcome distraction from lockdown,” Parkdean Resorts explained in a blog post....
