After some high-profile animal incidents on planes in the last year, airlines are updating their policies on emotional support animals to protect themselves and customers alike. JetBlue is the latest airline to tighten and modify its policies on animals taken onboard. American Airlines recently implemented its new policy, and United has completely banned certain dog breeds from traveling on its planes. Of course, this doesn’t mean you’ll have to leave your well-behaved pets home every time you travel, but you definitely shouldn’t try to bring on any peacocks or pot bellied pigs....

The UNESCO World Heritage Committee removed the English city of Liverpool from its list of World Heritage sites “due to the irreversible loss” of land around its historic Victorian docks. “The Committee considers that these constructions are detrimental to the site’s authenticity and integrity,” UNESCO announced in a press release Wednesday. Liverpool’s docklands were placed on the UNESCO World Heritage Site list in 2004 for their “outstanding universal value.” But as developers have taken over the Liverpool waterfront, shadowing the historic docks with modern commercial buildings....

Air Canada and Frontier Airlines are now requiring temperature checks for all passengers before they board their flight. As a part of their CleanCare+ initiative, that will monitor passengers’ health, Air Canada — the first airline to enact the temperature checks — will enact new standards that also include social distancing and disinfecting onboard aircraft. The temperature check specifically consists of a non-invasive infrared test and will be rolled out at all airports that fly Air Canada by May 15....

A trip to the Bahamas is about to get way more thrilling when Baha Bay, a 15-acre oceanfront water park, opens later this summer, the resort shared with Travel + Leisure. The water park, featuring 24 water slides, a dueling water coaster, 500,000-gallon wave pool, and winding river, will open July 2 for guests of the Baha Mar resorts: the Grand Hyatt, SLS, and Rosewood. Younger guests will love the splash zones and mini water slides, while everyone can relax at the beachfront infinity pool overlooking the sea....

In what Italy’s Prime Minister described as a “calculated risk” the country has continued along the course of its reopening plan. Businesses like shops, restaurants, and hair salons are reopening under strict guidelines set by the federal government, according to The Local Italy. Governors of 10 regions announced they would “act autonomously” if federal regulations did not permit the reopening of shops this week. Royal Caribbean raises the bar on round-the-world trips with its Ultimate World Cruise, exploring all seven continents on a 274-night adventure.
