Delta Air Lines will no longer block middle seats on its aircraft, becoming the last U.S. carrier to eliminate the pandemic-era practice, the airline shared with Travel + Leisure on Wednesday. Starting May 1, Delta will open up all seats to passengers, a full year after the airline started blocking the middle seat to give travelers more room to socially distance. Earlier this year, Delta extended the practice through April....

Disneyland California Adventure is reportedly planning a food and drink festival in March to give die-hard Mickey Mouse fans something to look forward to. While the theme park may not be opening anytime soon, the festival will welcome those in need of a Disney fix, ABC7 Los Angeles reported. Visitors will be able to wander through the park, shopping and sampling the fare, but the famous rides will remain closed....

If you’re working remotely and looking for a change of scenery, Tulsa might be calling your name. The Oklahoma city is looking to recruit more residents and will pay you $10,000 to live there for a year. The Tulsa Remote program, which launched in November 2018, is currently looking for 250 more remote workers who can move to the city within the next six months, according to its site. As a reward, the new Oklahomans will receive $10,000, which includes a relocation budget, monthly stipends, and the remaining amount at the completion of a full year....

The first customer to eat at Helena Adentro arrived on horseback. It was a cool night in October 2012, and chef Alejandro Fajardo Mendoza had just lit the grill outside the century-old house that he and his partner, Jade Gosling, had spent the previous few months fixing up in the sleepy hilltop village of Filandia. The pair had only recently moved from Australia — where they’d met at hospitality school — to central Colombia’s Eje Cafetero, or “Coffee Axis,” where Fajardo grew up....

With more than 390 overpasses connecting the small islands that make up Venice, bridges are some of the most prominent landmarks in the Floating City. But unfortunately, the functionality of one of Venice’s most famous bridges, Ponte della Costituzione, is slipping. Conceived by famed Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava, the 308-foot, glass-and-steel structure over the Grand Canal will undergo a major redesign due to the high number of pedestrian falls. The city of Venice is looking to replace the glass-tiled pavement of the bridge with trachyte stone to prevent more people from slipping and suffering injuries, according to The New York Times....

Berlin’s unique and complex history as an LGBTQ hotspot dates back to the Prussian era and the age of 1920s cabaret when LGBTQ people flocked to the liberal city. A tumultuous 20th century of wars and politics devastated the LGBTQ community in Berlin, but the divided city retained its artistic and edgy history during the rise of techno music. Historically, the Schöneberg neighborhood was the go-to hangout for Berlin’s LGBTQ locals and tourists....

Goop is finally going to sea. Gwyneth Paltrow’s lifestyle brand, goop, is kicking off its partnership with Celebrity Cruises in a series of four Caribbean sailings this fall aiming to promote all-around wellness, with offerings like workouts and mindfulness sessions. Five wellness experts approved by goop will set sail with passengers and teach them how to address the “emotional, physical and spiritual needs of today’s modern traveler,” according to a press release....

Located in the northeast corner of Italy, bordering Austria, travelers will find the Dolomites. Le Dolomiti (in Italian) share some of the alpine styles of neighboring regions, but boast a culture — and even a language — all of their own. Ladin is a language spoken in South Tyrol, Trentino, and Belluno, though you’re just as likely to hear German and Italian throughout the region. That’s because South Tyrol was part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire until 1918, when it was annexed to Italy....

In 2019, more people than ever before took to the railways around the United States. According to Amtrak, it saw a rider increase of three percent on its Washington DC, to Boston route, as well as a four percent increase in premium “Acela” high-speed service. Israel has announced they will keep their borders closed to international visitors for at least another week due to the emergence of the omicron variant. According to The Times Of Israel, government officials voted to keep the borders closed until at least Dec. 29. Israel had initially re-closed its borders in late November, exactly a month after reopening to vaccinated visitors because of the new variant and the rising of cases....

If you lost something at Pittsburgh International Airport, this may be your last chance to get it back. According to local Pittsburgh CBS station KDKA, The Allegheny County Airport Authority, which manages the airport, will be auctioning off thousands of abandoned vehicles and unclaimed items on Saturday, Oct. 19. The airport authority has been holding this public auction for several years. In addition to 15 abandoned vehicles that will go up for bidding, including a 2015 Dodge Ram and 2002 Chrysler Town & Country, there will be more than 10,000 items taken from the Pittsburgh International Airport’s Lost and Found....
